Group Project

The project was pretty easy. We researched about the different topics and then decided what to do for our project. It was easy to assign part. I contributed a lot to the project.

Promotions

Three ways to provide a promotional mix:

  1. Magazine advertisement  - picture of drink in Sports Illustrated
  2. Radio advertisement - slogan said on sports radio
  3. Outdoor advertisement - posters hung outside of gyms
There are various types of print that can be used to promote the sports drink. There can be magazine advertisements in sports magazines, such as Sports Illustrated, that would promote the sports drink to the group of people that are into working out. Another type of print advertisement that can be used is outdoor advertisement in front of gyms, especially the gym at Northeastern University. This will promote the drink to the students, which are most likely to by the drink since they will be persuaded by their mascot. Station posters around the Boston area is also effective because of the college student crowd in these areas. Locals also will want to support the university.

I priced my drink at $0.95 because a regular bottle of water from a supermarket can be $0.79. This drink can be flavored, and it also is special because it supports Northeastern. People are more likely to buy it because of the design and the school.

Sports Drink

Hydro-Husky
Northeastern University
"Brings out the Husky in you!"

I liked this project because I found out different mascots of colleges, I got to research a school I am interested in, and it is more fun than writing a paper.
I learned that the mascot of Northeastern is a Husky and that they have a live mascot and replace it each time.
I disliked this project because you need somewhat of an art ability to make the project look good.

Advertisements for 1st Talking Movie

The Jazz Singer was released in 1927 and is an American film. It is the first movie with dialogue on the filmstrip. The film was advertised with this poster:
The movie was distributed and advertised by Warner Bros. Superstar of the time Al Jolsonn starred in the movie, which brought publicity. The Jazz Singer was also advertised through magazines. There was a big hype because this was the first talking movie, which definitely brought attention to it.
